In the center of a universe where the frontiers between the infinitely small and the infinitely big seem to converge. We, standing on a step, contemplate the great staircase. We are ready to move… But where will we go?

Lines_V2 (2009)

Part 2 of my work with the metallographic microscope. In this video, I captured, in real time, every manipulations that I made to a sheet of aluminum foil. Like a dancing kaleidoscope, the images move in an almost hypnotic manner, creating a visual rhythm that synchronizes with the music.

Particules (2009)

Part 3 of my work with the metallographic microscope. In this video, I captured, in real time, every manipulations that I made to a sheet of aluminum foil; creating an immersive, non aggressive environment. With the help of the music, I tried to create an ambience that can “accommodate many level of attention, without enforcing one in particular” (Brian Eno).

Exploring and playing with the video’s main plastic material: light.

Here, a simple light switches on and off in a ballet of colours to the sound of meditative music composed on Technos’ legendary Canadian Acxel resynthesiser.
